The craft

Each piece is carved from light

A lithophane is an old idea. The shading of your photograph is translated into a panel that varies in thickness, so wherever the picture is pale the panel glows brightest. Unlit it looks like plain plastic. Lit, the photograph returns with real depth.

Each one is printed, assembled and finished by hand in the studio. Nothing leaves us until it glows the way it should.
